Management Trainee | Leadership Development ProgramLaunch Your Career in Leadership

Ready to turn your degree into a career with real growth potential?

Our 12-month Management Trainee Program is designed for recent graduates and early-career professionals who want to learn how a business operates, gain hands-on leadership experience, and build a foundation for a career in management.

This isn't a program where you'll spend a year observing from the sidelines. You'll work alongside employees and leaders throughout the organization, rotate through key areas of the business, take on real projects, and gain firsthand experience with the people, processes, and decisions that keep our operations moving.

Throughout the program, you'll receive regular coaching and mentorship from senior leadership and have frequent exposure to General Managers, Plant Managers, executives, and other company leaders.

The goal? Prepare you for a permanent role and an accelerated path into supervisory and management opportunities within the company.

Previous Management Trainees have gone on to become Press Managers, Quality Managers, General Managers, and other leaders throughout the organization.

What You'll Experience

Over the course of 12 months, you'll rotate through several areas of the business to develop a broad understanding of our operations.

Your rotations may include:

  • Press Room
  • Bindery
  • Customer Service
  • Logistics
  • Purchasing
  • Estimating
  • Information Technology
  • Accounting
  • Human Resources

Rotation length varies by department, allowing you to gain meaningful hands-on experience in each area.

The majority of your training will take place at your assigned location, though opportunities to visit or gain experience at other company locations may be available.

What You'll Do

As a Management Trainee, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside employees, supervisors, managers, and company leaders to understand how different areas of the business operate.
  • Learn manufacturing processes, workflows, equipment operations, reporting practices, and departmental responsibilities.
  • Build hands-on leadership experience while learning how supervisors and managers lead teams and daily operations.
  • Participate in projects focused on process improvement, productivity gains, and quality improvement.
  • Analyze processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, quality, workflow, and productivity.
  • Learn how departments use operational data and reporting to make business decisions.
  • Develop an understanding of our products, production schedules, workflows, and customer requirements.
  • Gain exposure to Human Resources practices and the policies that support employees and operations.
  • Work across departments and locations to help accomplish company goals.
  • Plan and manage your rotation schedule and training objectives in partnership with department leaders.
  • Complete assigned projects and present findings or recommendations when appropriate.
  • Follow company safety standards, policies, and work practices throughout the program.
Learn From Company Leaders

One of the most valuable parts of the Management Trainee Program is the access you'll have to experienced leaders throughout the company.

The program is typically overseen by the EVP of Manufacturing, with regular leadership check-ins serving as an ongoing mentorship and development opportunity.

You'll also interact with General Managers, Plant Managers, executives, department leaders, and employees across the organization.

That visibility gives you the opportunity to learn how leaders approach real business challenges while allowing company leadership to get to know you, your interests, and your strengths.

Where Can the Program Take You?

This program is designed to be a pathway into company leadership.

Throughout your rotations, you'll have an opportunity to discover which areas of the business interest you most and where your skills can make the greatest impact.

At the end of the 12-month program, the goal is to transition you into a permanent position based on your interests, demonstrated strengths, available opportunities, and business needs.

Your next opportunity may be at your training location or, when opportunities are available, at another company location.

From there, you'll continue developing toward future supervisory and management opportunities.
