The Role
Rotates through multiple business functions over two to three years, owning projects, supporting senior leaders, and delivering operational and strategic outcomes. The role requires analytical ability, strong communication, adaptability, accountability, initiative, and comfort with ambiguity. Associates work directly with different managers and stakeholders, learn unfamiliar functions quickly, manage multiple projects, and use AI tools and Microsoft Office applications. Travel may be required, and the position is primarily office-based.
Summary Generated by Built In

Alarm.com is a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial technology company. Our Management Development Program(MDP) is focused on developing our MDPs into Alarm.com’s technology leaders.

MDP Associates rotate through several areas of the business over two to three years, reporting to different departments and managers along the way. The point is breadth. You will learn how this company actually works by doing the work — in more than one function, with a different manager holding you accountable each time.  Rotations are shaped by business need and by the skills you still need to build — not only the ones you arrive with. They are not a fixed track, no two Associates’ paths look quite the same.

This is a hands-on program. Associates take on real responsibility early and work directly with senior leaders on projects that matter. The same Associate who presents to an executive on Thursday may spend Friday rebuilding the data behind that analysis. Both are the job. The people who do well here take the whole range as it comes, without drawing a line between work that suits their title and work that simply needs doing.

What you’ll do
  • Rotate through multiple areas of the business as a working member of each team, not an observer
  • Own projects end to end and answer to a real manager for real outcomes
  • Support senior leaders on strategic work, and do the detailed, operational work those projects depend on
  • Learn a new function and a new set of stakeholders at each rotation
  • Ask for more responsibility before it is offered, and handle it when you get it
  • Leave every rotation with the team better off than when you arrived
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience using AI tools and the judgment to use them well on complex, open-ended work
  • Track record of delivering results under real pressure, in school, work, or other commitments
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and critical-thinking skills
  • Clear and professional communication, with the judgment to pitch a message to the person receiving it
  • Drive to learn quickly in unfamiliar territory with limited instruction, and the resourcefulness to find the answer rather than wait for it
  • Ability to carry several projects at once in a fast-paced environment and stay accountable for all of them
  • Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities and changing managers
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Interest in consumer technology and connected devices
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Preferred qualifications
  • Internship or project experience in product, program or project management
  • Experience in a customer-facing, operational or support role
  • Leadership of a team, club or organization where you were accountable for a result

Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.
