Are you looking to develop you career further with a move into Management Consultancy? Or are you looking to enable client organisations to transform their businesses using IT or digital technologies?

If the answer is Yes, we want to hear from you. Birchman is growing its Digital Transformation Consulting team and we are seeking individuals who share our passion to help our clients embrace organisation change or business transformation enabled through technology or digitalisation. Our consultants are dynamic and possess strong engagement skills, as well as a desire to problem solve to develop optimum solutions for their clients.

If you already have experience as a Management Consultant on digital transformation projects or have prior industry experience in a business function - Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, internal Continuous Improvement or Change Management Projects – we’d love to hear from you.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an industry management role, ideally working on a business transformation, technology implementation or IT programme for example an ERP or e-Commerce platform implementation

  • Experience working on business change projects, using an agile, business value driven approach

  • Experience in strategic planning at an organisational or functional level

  • Strong project and program management experience, ideally in digital technology implementations

  • Strong, adaptive communication skills with an ability to target, build and deliver presentations across all organisation levels – to ensure ‘buy-in’ and the commitment of all stakeholder groups e.g. senior level executives, functional experts, and analysts

  • An ability to learn quickly, using blended formal, informal and ‘on the job’ approaches which ensure that our consultants remain a step ahead of the digital transformation learning curve

  • Passionate around challenge and the need to self-organise, self-manage, plus demonstrated pragmatism and an ability to work independently, as required

  • As a trusted partner, you will have strong collaboration and engagement skills with an ability to build inclusive, cooperative client and team relationships, to include colleagues from diverse backgrounds, cultures or locations

  • An ability to demonstrate strategic vision which champions innovation and change, balanced with an ability to analyse and work with detailed processes

  • Strong entrepreneurial thinking and commercial acumen, with an ability to engage with clients on current activities as well as participate on future business development projects which contribute to Birchman’s success

  • Strong academic background, MBA preferred

  • Ability to travel freely, (both within UK and internationally)

Birchman has a long history of providing technology solutions to some of the world’s best-known companies, however we are proud to be different from the Big Four consulting organisations. Birchman’s differentiator is to focus on understanding our clients’ needs and tailoring our advisory approach to derive maximum value linked to efforts, rather than reliance on standard methodologies and toolkits. We trust, enable and empower our consultants to be creative, work flexibly and add value by solving business problems and delivering projects in their own style, whilst respecting the client’s organisation culture.

This role forms part of a small, growing team; and is suitable for a candidate who looks to grow and shape their responsibilities dynamically in line with Birchman’s strategic vision.
