There is an exciting opportunity to join the internal finance function (NFO) in Preston, as a Management Accounts Manager. The team is responsible for the monthly management accounts journals, firm-wide overheads, core function reporting, balance sheet reporting, which includes monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all areas such as accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, other payables, other receivables, along with ad-hoc projects/reporting.
This is a wide and varied role with strong professional development opportunities; the successful candidate playing an integral part in driving forward the management accounts function of the firm; through embracing Workday and new features, driving forward balance sheet reconciliations/reporting and responsible for the development of the junior members of the team.
You’ll make an impact by:
Leading the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts, ensuring outputs are complete, well-explained, and aligned to accounting policies
Maintaining strong oversight of the general ledger and balance sheet, ensuring integrity of postings, robust reconciliations, and an audit-ready control environment
Playing a key role in managing financial risk, ensuring outputs comply with regulatory and internal standards, with clearly documented processes and controls
Supporting and enhancing month-end and year-end close processes, driving efficiency, consistency, and high-quality delivery
Managing, coaching, and developing junior team members, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture and supporting professional development
Partnering closely with the Corporate Reporting team and wider Finance teams, building strong relationships to ensure aligned, high-quality outputs and adoption of best practice

ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification
Experience managing and developing team members, with a strong focus on coaching, performance, and continuous improvement

Workday experience desirable
