The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in Port Melbourne. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your insights will directly support business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly management reports, including detailed variance analysis across Contract Logistics business units nationally
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis processes
- Provide financial insights and support to operational teams
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support business improvement initiatives through financial modelling and analysis
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
- Liaise with the national finance team and assist during audit processes
- Support compliance requirements, including GST, FBT, and income tax reporting
About You
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- CPA or CA qualified (or working towards)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar management accounting role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial systems
- Exposure to Oracle Financials and/or Microsoft Great Plains (highly regarded)
- Experience in logistics or supply chain (advantageous, not essential)
