The Opportunity
Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a dependable Make Ready Technician to join our team at Greyson’s Gate Apartments, a 272-unit community in Dallas.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys seeing the results. You'll prepare apartment homes for new residents by completing repairs, painting, touch-ups, and other make-ready work to ensure each home meets our standards before move-in.
What You'll Do
- Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents
- Complete painting, touch-ups, drywall repairs, and minor carpentry
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
- Inspect apartment homes and identify items needing repair or replacement
- Complete make-ready work efficiently and to company standards
- Assist the maintenance team with service requests and property needs as needed
- Maintain tools, supplies, and a clean, organized work area
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept community
What We're Looking For
- Make-ready, apartment maintenance, construction, painting, or related experience preferred
- General knowledge of painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and basic repairs
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and complete projects on schedule
- Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Residence within a reasonable commute of Greyson’s Gate Apartments (20–30 minutes preferred)
