Major Accounts Manager – Central Government (SASE / SecOps Specialist)

Role Overview Fortinet is seeking a Major Accounts Manager with a strong focus on SASE and SecOps to drive new business across central government and critical national infrastructure. This is a specialist DQC sales role, not an overlay position. You will own the sales cycle, identify new opportunities, and build long-term strategic relationships.

This role is suited to someone ambitious, proactive, and motivated by creating new opportunities. We are looking for a new business catalyst with strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, and the drive to grow into a high-impact cybersecurity specialist. Experience is valuable, but personality, energy, and potential are the real differentiators.

You will act as the primary point of contact for your assigned accounts, aligning Fortinet’s capabilities with government security priorities and supporting customers as they strengthen their cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities • Develop new business opportunities within central government and critical infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on SASE and SecOps • Act as a new business catalyst, creating early-stage engagement that leads to long-term strategic growth • Build and execute specialist account plans aligned to customer security programmes and Fortinet’s DQC portfolio • Expand Fortinet deployments within existing accounts through cross-sell and upsell initiatives • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including executive, director-level, and technical decision makers • Lead and coordinate internal teams to deliver proposals, RFP responses, and statements of work • Manage the full sales cycle from early engagement to negotiation and closure • Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting • Work closely with System Engineers, Channel Managers, and specialist teams to support customer needs • Conduct regular business reviews to ensure customers gain full value from their Fortinet investment • Keep customers informed about Fortinet product developments to support their planning and risk management

What We Are Looking For A proactive, high-energy sales professional who thrives in a hunter environment and wants to grow into a specialist cybersecurity leader. You may be a strong fit if you bring:

• A natural ability to build rapport quickly and create trust with senior stakeholders • A strong interest in SASE, SecOps, and modern security architectures • Experience in enterprise technology sales (cybersecurity, networking, or adjacent fields) • Experience working with public sector or regulated industries, or the ability to adapt quickly • A consistent record of achieving or exceeding sales targets • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • A structured, organised approach with the ability to work independently • Ambition, curiosity, and the drive to learn, grow, and be coached

Why Join Us Fortinet values diversity, inclusivity, and the strength of different perspectives. You will join a collaborative environment where knowledge is shared openly and ambition is supported with world-class training and mentorship.

We offer: • Comprehensive onboarding and continuous development • Opportunities to grow into a recognised specialist in SASE and SecOps • Competitive compensation, including stock awards • A culture that rewards initiative, creativity, and exceeding expectations

This role is governed by the applicable CCNL, including its classification, minimum salary levels and pay progression rules. In line with EU pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this position will be provided to all candidates before the interview stage, together with information on the objective criteria used for determining pay and progression. We do not request or consider salary history at any stage of the recruitment process.
