We are looking for a Machinist to join our beverage can factory in Hämeenlinna.

MachinistMachinist ensures the accuracy and reliability of equipment components by operating and maintaining workshop machinery for fabrication and repair. This role supports maintenance and production activities through precise, high-quality machining, contributing to optimal equipment performance, long-term durability, and adherence to technical standards
Main responsibilities:
- Operate and set up workshop machines (lathes, milling, grinding, drilling) to manufacture and repair metal components.
- Perform precision machining tasks—cutting, drilling, shaping—based on technical drawings.
- Fabricate spare parts to support maintenance and equipment reliability.
- Inspect parts using precision tools to ensure quality and compliance.
- Maintain machines and tools, monitor equipment condition, and report issues.
- Actively participate in production line size change process and improvement projects.
- Assist mechanics during repairs and propose technical improvements.
- Document maintenance activities and uphold GMP, 5S, and continuous improvement standards.
Our expectations:
- Solid understanding of machining processes, including turning, milling, drilling, and grinding.
- Expertise in applying and enforcing machining safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Proficient in operating, setting up, and troubleshooting workshop machinery for precision manufacturing and repair.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and machining specifications, and perform accurate inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Awareness of safety procedures and compliance requirements in industrial environments
