Machinist
Pfaudler, Inc., a leading supplier of highly engineered, critical equipment and process systems for global energy, chemical, and industrial markets, has a need for a machinist.
This job is ideal for an early-career machinist. We can provide the opportunity to learn and grow in the machine tool trade with a company that has meeting our customers’ needs for more than 100 years. We are a multi-process manufacturing facility with our machine shop supporting those activities. This position will give exposure to many aspects of the trade with room for advancement. We have a small shop environment with the expectation of advancing in knowledge and expertise.
Description of job:
Able to read and interpret prints and perform independent machining operations to specifications
Able to use necessary tools, grinder, belt sander, vise, jigs and fixtures
Able to use micrometers and verniers
Familiar with the operation of manual machine tools including drill press, lathe, and vertical mill
Able to proficiently set up and operate CNC lathe or mill including calling programs, touching off tools, editing programs as needed.
Responsible for Quality, Safety and Housekeeping in the job assignment and follows current SOP’s
Qualifications:
Must have 3-5 years’ experience in the machining.
Ability to read G code a plus.
Testing includes:
Reading comprehension, machining math, reading machining drawings, and measuring tools. Testing may include demonstrating ability to operate CNC mill or lathe.
Pay grade: Will be assigned based level of knowledge and experience.
In the event no candidates meet the minimum requirements for the job, the Company may elect to fill the opening by training under the provisions of Par. 13 of the Agreement.
