It requires interpreting technical drawings, sketches, and specifications while applying shop math to plan and execute accurate machining work from start to finish. Responsibilities include selecting proper tools and fixtures, determining machining sequences, performing finishing and hand‑tool operations, and verifying quality using precision measurement instruments. The position also demands monitoring machine systems for necessary adjustments, working across multiple information systems, and supporting smooth operations by collaborating with customers, support teams, and supervisors, as well as coordinating and managing materials throughout the machining process.

  • You’ll join a team that values precision, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
  • Every part you make contributes to something bigger—supporting critical national work and cutting‑edge technology.
