Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
1. Machining of core, cavity, other elements as per the drawing/plan provided.
2. Planning of critical fixture for Sink Edm requisites.
3. Maintaining the jobs as per the required accuracy levels.
4. Suggest the spark gaps and choose the right process to get desired dimension and surface finish.
5. To read the electrode offset drawings and sink edm the job as per the drawing dimensions.
Equipment Used
Sink Edm machine, Measuring equipment, Telephone, Computer & Photo copier & Fax.
Other Position Duties:
Reporting the daily/monthly utilization of the machine.
Technical/Functional Skill Sets:
- Good knowledge on electode design with the suitable spark gaps for meeting the requisites.
- Good hands on experience in using basis metrology equipment.
- Good knowledge of working in CNC sink edm machines Agie Charmilies, Makino, Sodick etc..
- Basis computer knowledge.
Personal Qualities/Characteristics required for the position:
- Good communication skills.
- Good vision of eye sight.
- Willing to work rotating shifts.

Skills Required
- Operate sink EDM machines and perform machining per drawings
- Plan and prepare critical fixtures for sink EDM work
- Maintain part accuracy to required tolerances
- Recommend spark gaps and EDM processes for desired dimensions and finish
- Read electrode offset drawings and perform sink EDM to drawing dimensions
- Experience with CNC sink EDM machines (Agie Charmilles, Makino, Sodick)
- Knowledge of electrode design for EDM
