Your Responsibilities
As a Machining Engineer for JD Engine Works in Waterloo, IA, you will:

• Provide support and basic trouble shooting for machining processes and machines. Investigate, gather, and analyze data for problem resolution.

• Identify and execute cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvements of limited scope.

• Drive operational improvements through new tooling trials and cycle time optimization.

What Skills You Need

• Background/experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Ability to adapt and work with ongoing changes in a manufacturing environment.

• Self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks with little supervision.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with team members on different shifts and execute projects.

• Ability to identify and understand problems and solve them using data analytics.

• Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

• Experience in machining processes and tooling.

• Experience writing and editing CNC machine programs.

• Fanuc robot programming experience.

• Experience with SAP, JDAAT, Creo, AutoCAD, Kotem, Vericut, Ignition.

• Experience programming Zoller tool presetters.

• Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, cutting tooling, tool design.

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Degree in Engineering/Technology discipline preferred, or equivalent CNC machine operating and programming experience.
