Job Summary
We are seeking a Machine Vision Application Engineer to support the deployment, delivery, and technical support of our internally developed vision software platform.
This role focuses on project delivery, onsite execution, imaging design, and customer-facing technical support, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful implementation in production environments.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on machine vision experience, is comfortable working on customer sites, and can bridge software, hardware, and practical manufacturing needs.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Vision Project Delivery
Deliver end-to-end machine vision projects using platforms such as Cognex VisionPro, MVTec HALCON, Keyence, and similar systems.
Execute full project lifecycle activities including:
Requirement analysis
Imaging solution design
Onsite deployment and validation
Production handover and stabilization
Imaging System Design & Optimization
Design and optimize imaging solutions based on application requirements, including:
Camera selection (area scan, line scan, color/mono, high-speed, high‑resolution)
Lens selection and field-of-view calculation
Lighting design (bright/dark field coaxial, dome, structured light, etc.)
Perform and validate the complete imaging workflow: Image acquisition → lighting & optics tuning → verification → readiness for mass production
Onsite Execution & Customer Support
Execute onsite system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Provide customer training for operators, engineers, and maintenance teams.
Support customers during ramp-up and post-deployment phases to ensure stable production performance.
Project Coordination & Follow‑Up
Participate in basic project management activities:
Task planning and execution tracking
Coordination with internal R&D, software, and global support teams
Documentation, training materials, and technical handover
Continuously follow up on deployed systems and drive improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
Hands-on experience delivering machine vision projects in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Strong experience with one or more of the following: Cognex VisionPro/MVTec HALCON/Keyence vision systems
Solid understanding of machine vision hardware:
Industrial cameras, lenses, and lighting
Imaging principles, optics, and illumination techniques
Experience taking vision systems from prototype to production deployment.
Proficiency in Python and/or C# for scripting or basic application development.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required
Ability to communicate effectively in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
