The Role

As a MLOps Engineer, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end release processes for Data Science products, positioned at the intersection of MLOps and software release management. Your role will involve designing, orchestrating, and optimizing release pipelines to ensure robust software acceptance, comprehensive validation, and high-quality deployment standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate continuous deployment practices and streamline the release lifecycle, while also monitoring and refining processes through well-defined KPIs and roadmaps.

What you'll get to do:

  • Develop and Optimize Release Pipelines: build, maintain, and enhance scalable release pipelines and automation tools to manage the full lifecycle of Data Science and ML products, ensuring smooth transitions from development to production.
  • Enforce Best Practices: lead & mentorate integration of advanced release management solutions such as automated rollbacks, canary deployments, automated testing, release validation and efficient deployment strategies. 
  • Collaborate Across Teams: work closely with data scientists, DevOps engineers and stakeholders to document, refine, and oversee the release process, ensuring clarity and accountability. 
  • Drive Cost Efficiency: focus on optimizing the cost-effectiveness and scalability of our release management infrastructure, maximizing ROI and resource utilization.

You should apply if you have most of this:

  • 4+ years ​extensive experience in continuous integration (CI) pipelines, automation, and maintaining robust release processes for AI/ML-based services or big data pipelines.
  • Demonstrated expertise in test management, test planning, QA engineering, QA automation, functional testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Deep understanding of cloud environments for AI world, including custom integrations between cloud-based systems.
  • Background in Python programming language & associated testing frameworks.
  • Proven skills in agile or scrum methodologies to drive projects, including solid skills in documentation and clear communication across diverse teams.

What puts you over the top:

  • Knowledge in Kubernetes infrastructure.
  • Experience using popular CI/CD dedicated ML frameworks such as MLFlow or other popular AI model lifecycle tools.
  • Experience with Databricks or other extract, transform, load (ETL) big data pipelines.
  • Problem solver, team player, lifelong learner.
