Your role at Clorox:
Clorox is transforming its data & technology capabilities to drive purpose-driven business growth. Our Enterprise AI/ML Engineering team is seeking a passionate Machine Learning Engineering Intern to contribute to the development of our ML models and explore innovative ways to leverage additional data sources for enhanced performance. Our team owns Clorox’s ML forecasting engine, a crucial part of our Integrated Business Planning effort, supporting all our major retail business units.In this role, you will:
Job Description & Key Responsibilities:
Conduct exploratory data analysis:
Prepare datasets for ingestion into our ML models
Clean, preprocess, and transform raw data into structured formats suitable for machine learning models.
Design and prototype Solutions:
Develop end-to-end ML and data science solutions from idea conception through deployment from planning, requirements, design, development, testing, and evaluation.
Cross-Collaborate:
Work closely with our ML and Data Engineering team members and business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project goals.
Present findings, insights, and technical results to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
What we look for:
Education, Technical Skills & Experience
Currently pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative disciplines
1+ years of data science and machine learning coursework / practical experience. Previous internship or business experience (1~2 years) preferred
Strong understanding and experience with ML models and ML engineering, advanced statistics, time series forecasting. Proficient in Python and SQL.
Experience in data management, e.g., wrangling, extraction, normalization.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure, GCP, or AWS) and/or Databricks, is a plus
Experience with standard SDLC process and DevOps including version-control (GitHub/SVN) and CI/CD is a plus.
Understanding of design and architecture principles is a plus

The applicable pay range for this role in the U.S. is based on your work location according to the cost of labor in your area. *$26 - $32/hr All ranges are subject to change in the future.
