Minimum Education RequiredMaster's Degree ShiftFirst Shift, Second Shift Responsibilities
  • Ensure an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment.
  • Provide psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations of individuals at the Respite site.
  • Provide clinical oversight of work performed at the respite program, including participation in an on-call rotation.
  • Work with clients in a collaborative manner to develop assessments, Individualized Action Plans (IAPs), Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), crisis plans, relapse plans, and other items needed to support their stay at the program.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems.
  • Provide information on treatment and referral services.  Maintain linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution.
  • Provide transportation to appointments and other community integration opportunities. 
  • Ensure the program site is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in related field and at least two years’ experience with target population (inpatient, outpatient, residential acceptable).
  • Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers.
  • Must have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
  • Must possess excellent assessment and interviewing skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients.
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
