Brown & Brown is seeking an M365 Integration Engineer to join our growing team in Plano, TX.
The M365 Integration Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing Microsoft 365 integration solutions across newly acquired organizations. Operating within the Technical IMO integration engine, this role ensures acquired companies are onboarded into enterprise productivity, collaboration, identity, and security platforms in a secure, standardized, and repeatable manner.
The M365 Integration Engineer serves as the technical subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 integration activities, supporting pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, post-close migration execution, and platform standardization. The role works closely with Technology Integration Managers, Security Engineering, End User Computing, Identity teams, and enterprise platform owners to deliver scalable integration outcomes while minimizing business disruption.
How You Will Contribute:
Microsoft 365 Integration Engineering
- Design and execute Microsoft 365 integration strategies for assigned acquisitions.
- Assess acquired Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, and related environments.
- Develop migration and onboarding plans aligned with enterprise standards and integration timelines.
- Identify risks, dependencies, licensing considerations, and technical constraints.
- Support Day 1 readiness planning and integration execution.
Tenant Integration & Migration Execution
- Execute tenant-to-tenant migration activities.
- Support mailbox migrations, Teams migrations, SharePoint migrations, and OneDrive migrations.
- Configure coexistence, cross-tenant access, and migration tooling where required.
- Coordinate migration sequencing, cutover plans, and validation activities.
- Ensure successful transition of users, groups, devices, and collaboration services into enterprise platforms.
Identity & Access Integration
- Support Entra ID integration and identity consolidation initiatives.
- Implement authentication, federation, and directory synchronization solutions as required.
- Partner with Security and Identity teams to align acquisitions with enterprise access standards.
- Assist with integration of conditional access, MFA, identity governance, and security controls.
- Validate user provisioning, licensing, and role assignments throughout integrations.
Collaboration & Productivity Enablement
- Integrate Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive services.
- Support collaboration modernization initiatives for acquired organizations.
- Ensure acquired users are enabled on standard communication and collaboration platforms.
- Coordinate adoption activities with EUC, Service Desk, and operational support teams.
- Support post-integration stabilization and issue resolution.
Engineering Standards & Automation
- Develop and maintain standardized migration approaches, runbooks, and implementation patterns.
- Create automation solutions using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and other Microsoft platform tooling.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of integration playbooks and engineering methodologies.
- Reduce manual effort through automation and repeatable deployment patterns.
- Ensure engineering activities align with enterprise governance and security standards.
Technical Discovery & Due Diligence Support
- Participate in technology due diligence activities for prospective acquisitions.
- Assess Microsoft 365 architecture, licensing models, collaboration platforms, and identity configurations.
- Identify integration complexity, modernization opportunities, and transition risks.
- Provide engineering estimates and migration approaches that support deal planning and execution.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience administering Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID.
- Experience with migration and integration projects in enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, tenant consolidations, or large-scale migrations preferred.
- Experience developing automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Collaboration Communications Systems Engineer
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
