Responsibilities

  • Take charge of direct sales of Sony cellular IoT and GNSS ICs within the NAM territory, devising and executing account strategies to optimize sales outcomes either directly or by collaborating with channel partners.
  • Lead sales initiatives in direct accounts and identify potential strategic accounts by participating in leading industry/customer tradeshows and technology conferences. Implement tailored account strategies and seize opportunities to close deals.
  • Provide insights and guidance to sales and marketing management on market dynamics, competitor analysis, and customer feedback. Collect market intelligence, assess product requirements, and disseminate relevant information within the company.
  • Foster strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth progression of opportunities to mass production.
  • Demonstrate an exceptional work ethic characterized by productivity, focus on high-potential opportunities, efficient time management, and achievement of challenging work objectives.
  • Capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a collaborative member of a professional team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong grasp of technology concepts. An MBA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales or business development within the wireless communications industry, with a preference for semiconductor sales background.
  • Demonstrated experience in IoT connectivity and a solid track record in complex solution selling. Familiarity with LTE-M, NB-IoT, and GNSS technologies is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in positioning technologies including GNSS, RTK, and PPP. Knowledge of various asset trackers in the market is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting and surpassing corporate objectives and quotas.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, ranging from 40% to 60% of the time.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Japanese language would be highly advantageous.
  • Based in Bay area is preferred but not a must.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $102,000.00 to $134,000.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. 

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for a bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave after three months of employment, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave after six months of employment.
