What We Need

Love games? Love languages? As part of 2K’s Global Loc 2.0 initiative, we’re building a more embedded and quality-focused approach to localization—and LQA Analysts are at the heart of it. As an LQA Analyst I, you'll be among the first to experience our games in your native language and help shape how they resonate with players across the globe.

This is an entry-level role perfect for linguistically sharp, detail-oriented professionals looking to break into games or localization. You’ll test pre-release content for linguistic accuracy, cultural relevance, and UI functionality—while learning the tools, systems, and collaboration models that bring 2K’s global experiences to life.

What You’ll Do
  • Execute test passes on localized builds to verify linguistic, functional, and visual accuracy
  • Identify and log localization bugs—ranging from translation issues to UI problems—using detailed, reproducible steps
  • Ensure consistency in spelling, grammar, terminology, tone, variable usage, and cultural appropriateness
  • Amend or propose edits and translations to objective linguistic issues directly in text management systems
  • Analyze reported issues to identify potential root causes and flag patterns that may indicate systemic localization or i18n risks.
  • Flag localization risks early in the development cycle, including potential issues with variables, UI constraints, or source text clarity
  • Support glossary and style guide validation as part of broader quality review cycles
  • Follow documented test plans and contribute to test case creation and improvement
  • Evaluate localization quality against first-party standards, platform-holder terminology, and branding requirements
  • Review localization tickets or player reports, helping reproduce and escalate verified issues
  • Participate in LQA team standups, bug triage, and milestone QA reviews
  • Stay current on key project terminology and serve as a resource for your native language Arabic

What Will Make You A Great Fit
  • Native level fluency in your supported language Arabic
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ideally experience in QA (functional QA, localization QA, or related testing roles), with demonstrated linguistic proficiency in the supported language.
  • Experience with game consoles, mobile platforms, or game development terminology
  • Familiarity with first-party certification standards (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft)
  • Familiarity with QA and localization workflows, including bug logging and test execution
  • Knowledge of JIRA, bug tracking platforms, or text management systems
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and version control platforms
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized, with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to work under deadlines, follow instructions, and ask questions when needed
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Passion for video games and cross-cultural storytelling
  • Exposure to localization or CAT tools (e.g., Trados, MemoQ, XLOC)
  • Experience working with or overseeing external QA partners or freelance reviewers
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent QA accreditation
  • Knowledge of regional age rating standards, particularly in supported territories

WHY JOIN US?
