About the Role:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Regional West Physicians Clinic (RWPC) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within a multidisciplinary clinical environment. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and well-being. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with clinical procedures to support effective treatment plans. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate patient records and collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes. Ultimately, the LPN Clinic professional contributes to a compassionate and efficient healthcare environment that meets regulatory standards and patient needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Nebraska.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proven experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of nursing principles, patient care standards, and clinical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a primary care or outpatient clinic environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly EPIC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including taking vital signs, administering medications, and other clinical procedures.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly to registered nurses or physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided and patient responses.
- Assist in preparing patients for examinations and treatments, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and support clinical operations efficiently.
