Position Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing field logistics activities that support construction operations across both the General Contractor (GC) team and subcontractor workforce. This role ensures crews have the materials, equipment, access, infrastructure, and logistical support necessary to maintain safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production.
Serving as the bridge between field operations and logistics, the Logistics Supervisor proactively identifies constraints, resolves site plan challenges, and develops solutions that improve productivity while maintaining site safety and organization.
Responsibilities
Inventory & Site Coordination
· Supervise logistics coordinators, warehouse personnel, and support staff as assigned.
· Establish priorities and delegate daily work assignments
· Coordinate daily logistics activities to ensure crews remain productive.
· Meet regularly with project management to identify upcoming logistical needs.
· Coordinate logistics requirements between multiple contractors working simultaneously.
· Coordinate the timely delivery of critical materials from off-site warehouses to ensure uninterrupted production schedules.
· Oversee warehouse operations and maintain accurate visibility of inventory on hand, issued materials, and overall stock levels.
· Oversee laydown yards, storage areas, and material staging locations.
· Coordinate installation and relocation as project phases change.
· Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and subcontractors.
· Ensure roadways, loading zones, and access routes remain operational while promptly communicating any changes site-wide.
· Manage temporary site infrastructure including office trailers, storage containers, fencing, temporary utilities, lighting, signage, break areas, and sanitation facilities.
· Participate in weekly look-ahead planning meetings.
· Develop logistics plans supporting upcoming construction activities.
· Provide weekly site plan to all stakeholders with updates.
· Coordinate major deliveries, crane operations, road closures, and high-impact activities.
· Promote and enforce all company safety policies
· Ensure logistics operations comply with OSHA and project safety requirements.
QualificationsQualifications
· 5+ years of experience in construction logistics, project coordination, or superintendent support on active commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or heavy civil construction projects.
· Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience managing construction warehouse operations, material staging, inventory control, or laydown yards.
· Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software’s such as Procore and Bluebeam.
· Construction Experience
This position is intended for candidates with experience supporting active construction projects. Experience limited to manufacturing, distribution, transportation, or warehouse operations without construction field experience is not considered equivalent
Preferred Skills
· Experience working in multi-contractor project environments.
· Experience supervising field logistics personnel or construction support crews.
· Experience supporting data center or other mission-critical construction projects.
· Familiarity with heavy equipment operations and temporary construction infrastructure.
· Experience supervising a team of 10 or more
· OSHA 30 certification
