Directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, subordinates in warehouse and shipping department
Responsible for the proper handling of incoming products through the receiving docks, and stocking and handling of components
Implements LEAN solutions into material handling and logistics processes
Work directly with the freight carriers to ensure compliance with Woodward freight initiatives and policies
Responsible for the preparation of all necessary paperwork and the coordination of cycle count and all necessary activities required to package and ship materials and products required to satisfy customer requirements
Responsible for achieving departmental goals & performance measures KPI’s
Coordinates work load requirements and work scheduling with teams
Develops, reviews and maintains staffing requirements
Responsible for annual performance evaluations and discipline of the subordinates
Identify and provide training needs related to safety, quality, new technologies and application tools for members development
Solid knowledge about LEAN in logistics
High school diploma or equivalent, preferable bachelor’s degree
Solid knowledge of business computer systems (MRP)
Strong English language skills and communication skills
Ability to quickly learn processes, equipment and tools used in specific areas of responsibility
Ability to analyze data and prepare reports / presentations of ongoing logistics processes
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize day-to-day activities and issues within functional area
