The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support HBK manufacturing operations and customer delivery requirements. This role ensures efficient inventory management, shipping and receiving activities, transportation coordination, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Logistics Specialist works closely with production, procurement, quality, and customer service teams to maintain uninterrupted material flow and optimize supply chain performance.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate domestic and international shipments
Prepare shipping documentation, including labels, packing lists, invoices, and export paperwork
Track shipments, schedule pickups, and resolve delivery issues as needed
Process export shipments through the Automated Export System (AES)
Enter and maintain shipping, inventory, and order data in the ERP system
Coordinate the flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production schedules
Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Planning and Purchasing to ensure material availability
Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and material expediting activities
Maintain compliance with transportation, export, and company requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives, audits, and logistics documentation reviews
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
2-5 years of experience in Logistics, Domestic and International shipping
2+ years of experience with ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of AES
Must be willing to cross train in all functions of logistics
Experience with Shipper's letter of Instruction (SLI)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to multitask, adapt and work in a fast-changing environment
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
SAP experience strongly preferred
Exposure to lean initiatives, a plus
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $26.00/hr to $28.00/hr. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time and will not require sponsorship either now or in the future to obtain an employment visa.
