Logistics / Packing & Shipments
Position Summary
Manage end-to-end Export, Import, and Domestic Logistics operations for project shipments, valves, spares, and engineered products. Ensure timely shipment execution, regulatory compliance, freight optimization, customs clearance, documentation accuracy, and coordination with customers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transporters, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Export Logistics Management
- Manage end-to-end export shipments by Air, Sea, Courier, and Multimodal transportation.
- Coordinate shipment bookings with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
- Review and approve export documentation including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Shipping Bill
- LUT
- Certificate of Origin
- Fumigation Certificate
- End User Declaration
- SCOMET related documents
- Monitor shipment milestones from cargo pick-up until customer delivery.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific and country-specific export requirements.
Import Logistics & Customs Clearance
- Coordinate international imports and monitor shipment status.
- Review BOE checklists and customs documentation.
- Support EOU, IGCR, duty exemption and bonded import processes.
- Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders for customs queries, OOC, BOE filing, and cargo delivery.
- Ensure timely clearance to avoid demurrage, detention, and storage charges.
Freight Forwarder & Vendor Management
- Evaluate freight quotations and transit time options.
- Negotiate freight rates and service conditions.
- Manage relationships with logistics service providers.
- Track logistics provider performance.
- Resolve operational escalation and shipment exceptions.
- Support RFQ activities and logistics cost optimization initiatives.
Shipment Planning & Execution
- Plan shipment schedules based on project requirements.
- Coordinate cargo readiness, vehicle arrangement, and transporter deployment.
- Monitor container stuffing, trailer loading, e-seal management, and cargo securing activities.
- Ensure shipment movements meet customer delivery commitments.
- Coordinate urgent and critical project shipments.
Documentation & Compliance
- Review shipping checklists before customs filing.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and logistics documentation.
- Ensure GST, IEC, E-Way Bill, and customs compliance requirements are fulfilled.
- Verify shipping documents before cargo dispatch.
- Support audits related to EXIM and logistics operations.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as a central point of contact between:

- Communicate shipment status, delays, risks, and action plans.

Preferred Experience
- 8-10 years in Logistics, EXIM, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Operations.

- Strong understanding of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Customs Clearance, EOU, and Export Compliance processes.
