About the Team

Our Logistics Team keeps customer boxes, stock and equipment moving safely and efficiently through Vintage.com.


From receiving incoming boxes and moving stock between teams, through to storage, packing, dispatch and returns, Logistics helps make sure items are in the right place at the right time and can continue smoothly through the operation.


The team works closely with Appraisals, Marketplace and other operational teams to respond to changing stock volumes and priorities. Accurate scanning, careful handling and reliable stock movement are essential to keeping the wider operation flowing.

What success looks like
  • Stock is processed and moved at the pace needed to support daily and weekly operational targets, without compromising accuracy.
  • Boxes and items reach the correct location or next stage with minimal delays or handling errors.
  • Scanning and stock-movement processes are followed consistently, supporting accurate records and traceability.

What You'll Do
Stock Flow & Logistics
  • Receive and check in incoming customer boxes accurately so they can enter the operation correctly.
  • Scan boxes, stock and locations in line with agreed processes to maintain accurate stock movement and traceability.
  • Move boxes, cages, pallets, tubs and other stock safely between operational teams, storage areas and processing locations.
  • Route stock to the correct area or next stage of the process so it continues moving through the operation without unnecessary delays.
  • Store stock in the correct designated locations and follow agreed processes for retrieving and moving it when required.
  • Prepare and pack items securely for onward processing, dispatch or return where this forms part of your assigned Logistics area.
  • Move empty cages, pallets, tubs and other equipment to where they are needed so operational teams can continue working efficiently.
  • Handle a wide variety of pre-loved items carefully, recognising that every product needs to reach the correct destination in the condition it was received.
Operational Performance

  • Work towards agreed productivity and stock-processing targets while maintaining the required standards of accuracy, care and safety.
  • Complete scanning and stock-movement activity accurately so records remain reliable and misplaced stock is minimised.
  • Keep stock moving by responding quickly when boxes, cages or items begin to build up in particular areas.
  • Adapt your focus throughout the day as stock volumes and operational priorities change.
  • Identify damaged items, incorrect stock movements, discrepancies or other issues and follow the correct process for recording and escalating them.
  • Maintain an organised working area so boxes and stock can be moved safely and efficiently.
  • Follow agreed processes consistently while raising anything that could affect stock flow, accuracy or productivity.
Collaboration

  • Work closely with colleagues across Logistics to maintain a consistent flow of boxes and stock through the operation.
  • Support teammates when particular areas become busy or require additional capacity.
  • Work with Appraisals, Marketplace and other operational teams to make sure stock reaches the correct destination.
  • Move between Logistics activities when needed to support changing volumes and priorities.
  • Communicate stock issues, discrepancies, damage or operational blockages clearly so they can be resolved quickly.
  • Share practical learning and process knowledge with colleagues as you build experience across the operation.
  • Support clear handovers between teams and shifts so outstanding issues and priorities are understood.
Continuous Improvement

  • Look for practical ways to improve the movement, storage and organisation of stock.
  • Raise recurring stock-flow problems, scanning issues, equipment concerns or process problems that could affect productivity or accuracy.
  • Share ideas that could make Logistics processes safer, simpler or more efficient.
  • Respond positively to changes in processes, systems, layouts and operational priorities.
  • Support the introduction of new ways of working and provide feedback on how they operate in practice.
Compliance

  • Follow all stock-handling, manual-handling and workplace safety procedures.
  • Use cages, pallets, trolleys, scanning equipment and other operational equipment safely and in line with training.
  • Keep walkways, storage areas and working spaces clear and organised.
  • Report damaged equipment, hazards, incidents, near misses or safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow all required scanning, movement and storage processes to maintain accurate stock records and traceability.
  • Handle items in line with agreed processes to minimise damage, loss or misplaced stock.
  • Complete any required checks or records accurately and promptly.

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, stock-handling, fulfilment or other fast-paced operational environment.
