We are looking for someone to join our Logistics team as a Logistics Manager. You are a lover of data who identifies data relationships and dependencies; synthesizes complex information to draw conclusions to make strategic decisions but at the same time is an executor who is passionately committed to excellence and strives to pursue the team's goals. To succeed in this role, you must be innately curious, deeply analytical, highly driven and operate with acute attention to detail.
The primary goal of the Logistics team is to manage the Grubhub delivery network and coordinate deliveries between diners, drivers, and restaurants while optimizing cost, speed, and quality. Collectively, we support roughly 600,000 drivers that manage over 400,00 deliveries across the US each day.
This role is responsible for the strategic planning as well as the day-to-day operations of non-standard orders, with a focus on identifying opportunities to improve Grubhub's overall business. The NSO Logistics Manager provides critical support to both Corporate and Campus teams by uncovering opportunities to optimize logistics and delivering analytical insights and investigations aligned with the priorities set by senior management. The NSO Manager works cross-functionally with multiple workstreams to implement processes and recommend product enhancements aimed at increasing the efficiency and scalability of non-standard orders. Leveraging analytical insights, the role focuses on ensuring client and diner retention while driving revenue growth opportunities.

  • Analyze trends and underlying issues within the business; you will be responsible for understanding impacts in a multi-sided marketplace, problem solving complex issues in a data-driven manner and implementing solutions cross-functionally
  • Effectively communicate learnings and recommendations to key stakeholders; you will collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization to develop and deliver on your roadmap
  • Partner closely with Senior Leadership to identify opportunities and deliver on service, profitability, and growth expectations for the business
  • Innovate and ask questions; as a member of the logistics organization you will have the opportunity to challenge the status-quo and push the business to new levels


What You Bring To The Table:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4-6 yrs. of relevant work experience in operations/strategy/business development/P&L responsibilities of growing a business
  • Technology Experience:
    • Direct experience with SQL
    • Advanced Excel
    • Tableau experience preferred
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills; you ask questions and seek answers, and solve problems creatively
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator; you have the ability to tell a story combining data with qualitative insights, and you understand how to tailor your communication to any audience
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively and cross-functionally. You understand that a collective effort creates a better experience internally and for our customers
  • Passion to learn and solve problems by thinking outside of the box; you love to learn and when something isn't clear you figure it out
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment; you put out ambitious goals and if you fail, you fail fast, learn, and keep pushing forward


The base salary ranges for this position are below .
New York: $83,500 - $125,500 base salary range
Chicago: $76,000 - $114,000 base salary range
Grubhub uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
