Title: Logistic Manager
Location Mexico City (office Base)
Position Summary:
Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing import/export customs compliance. Subject matter expert on customs/government import requirements and compliance. Manager will also be responsible for all in-country transportation, contract negotiations and transport bids and awards.
Daily work tasks:
- Customs compliance manager
- Manage in-country logistics operations.
- Conduct transportation bids for with trucking companies, express couriers and potential warehouse bid request.
- Track inbound / outbound international shipments.
- Implement robust metrics capturing transport carrier performance.
- Work with international origin suppliers to assign carriers & service levels.
- Request/approve ADHOC quotes from transportation suppliers.
- Update internal / external customers on critical orders/shipments.
- Problem resolution, shipping delays, call multiple carriers to book shipments, overage/underage deliveries, etc.
- Determine transportation routing based on required delivery date.
- Optimize truck capacity by consolidating shipments International Export Specialist
Basic requirements:
- Manage all import/exports shipments.
- Work with customs broker to ensure 100% Customs / Government compliance.
- Keep current with government programs and changes in regulations which may impact our import/export shipments.
- Transportation bids for in-country distribution
- Coordinating and tracking inbound/outbound shipments
- Work with domestic and international transportation companies to ensure timely performance.
- Works in a team environment that assists and supports all other NCR division or departments
