Job Description
PerkinElmer is seeking a Site Warehouse Manager to oversee the warehousing activities for one of our key manufacturing sites. The role is responsible for strategizing the warehouse, storage and distribution function and lead the Store and Receiving team in the day-to-day operations of receiving, storage, handling, issuing, packing and shipping and ensure that the functions are carried out timely, accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Participate in daily meetings with the team and manufacturing colleagues to resolve support issues related to build plans
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Ensure proper handling of controlled materials such as materials with shelf life or requiring special storage conditions
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Ensure proper disposal of scrap materials
- Lead activities to ensure compliance to trade regulations, customs regulations, ISO and SOX
- Perform Risk Assessment and take actions to ensure a safe working environment
- Streamline processes and drive strategies and continuous improvement in the area of layout and space management, material flow; work organization chart; procedures such as SOP and 5S.
- Lead in special projects and key initiatives identified from time to time
- Participate in EHS implementation and support ISO14001/OHSAS18001 activities

- Bachelor’s degree with a Degree/Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with at least 5 years of experience in managing a team in a dynamic and fast-paced MNC manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Strong communication skills with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong bias for action and results oriented
