Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Supply Chain business at our Mumbai and Maharashtra. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Supply Chain Division. This position will report to the Manager of Logistics
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for:
- Responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring end-to-end export logistics operations across multiple regions.
- Ensures timely delivery, compliance with international trade regulations, and accurate documentation.
- Coordinates with internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure smooth shipment execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage outbound delivery processing using ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
- Plan and coordinate shipments with freight forwarders.
- Ensure material readiness and dispatch planning with warehouse teams.
- Prepare and validate export documentation (B/L, invoice, packing list, COO).
- Maintain communication with stakeholders and provide shipment updates.
- Track shipment milestones and update ERP/TMS systems.
- Support Transport Management System (TMS) implementation and usage.
- Validate and process logistics vendor invoices.
- Support logistics reporting and performance tracking (OTIF, cost, timelines).

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field
- Experience preferred 3 yrs to 5 yrs
- Relevant experience in export logistics or international operations
- Exposure to global logistics operations preferred

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field
- 3 to 5 years relevant experience in export logistics or international operations
- Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP systems
- Experience with export documentation (B/L, invoice, packing list, COO) and compliance
- Freight forwarding and shipment coordination experience
- Ability to manage outbound delivery processing and update ERP/TMS systems
- Experience validating and processing logistics vendor invoices
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work across global teams / exposure to global logistics operations
