About the Logistics Team and the Role
The Procurement and Supply Chain team are responsible for the processes and materials behind the manufacture and distribution of the goods that THG creates and sells. The work the team does is critical in ensuring the business is competitive in the market.
Reporting to the Logistics Compliance Manager, the Logistics Compliance Executive will ensure that we comply with all the relevant regulations relating to customs documentation so that we can dispatch our products, which range from health and beauty to sports nutrition and electrical equipment to customers swiftly and in accordance with local requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and advise the business on Tariff Classification of goods, which determines duties payable, cost savings and any restrictions on the import or export of goods.
- Investigate and advise the business on logistical and customs related requirements for entering new markets.
- Organising EHC, COFS, COO and EUR1 where these are required and liaising with the logistics booking team to ensure goods exported from have all the necessary approvals prior to departure.
- Complete and file customs documentation including but not limited to Certificate of Origin, EUR1, Commercial Invoice etc.
- Ad - hoc Project work in line with current business demands e.g. product classification projects, duty calculation, origin determination and market entry requirements.
- Support the business with new market entry requirements
- Improve current export compliance processes
Requirements:
- Very good understanding of customs regulations
- Experience in import/export compliance for food products (POAO)
- Experience with the issuance of preference documents i.e. Certificate of Origin and EUR1/ tariff code classification / Inward Processing Relief (IPR)
- High attention to detail and ability to manage team that are processing large amount of admin related tasks in efficient manner
- Good problem solving skills to aid in market entry queries and process improvement
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Good geographical knowledge
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
