As a Logistics Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting logistics operations through data-driven insights and performance analysis. This position is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive reports, analyzing transportation and distribution metrics, and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Whether supporting Supply & Demand Planning, product transportation, or Direct Store Delivery, the Logistics Analyst helps optimize our supply chain by turning data into actionable strategies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Perform complex analyses and generate reports to monitor logistics performance and support strategic planning.

  • KPI Tracking & Forecasting: Analyze weekly and monthly key performance indicators and forecasts to evaluate operational efficiency.

  • Cost Analysis: Interpret logistics cost components and provide insights to support cost control and optimization efforts.

  • TMS & Carrier Data Management: Maintain and update carrier information in the Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure accurate costing and freight payment.

  • Carrier Setup & Auditing: Manage new carrier setups and audit accessorial charges to ensure billing accuracy and compliance.

  • Transportation Performance Monitoring: Track transportation performance against carrier awards and cost targets to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

  • Optimization Modeling: Apply mathematical models and optimization techniques to design efficient logistics networks and support executive decision-making.

  • Freight Settlement Accuracy: Review and correct freight settlement documents to ensure proper accruals and financial accuracy.

  • Cost Estimation for New Business: Collaborate with business leaders to estimate distribution costs for new opportunities, including freight and distribution center expenses.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with senior leaders, vendors, and customers to support logistics initiatives and resolve issues.

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Customer Service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to interpret data and drive decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.

  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality work.

  • Customer Service: Demonstrated excellence in customer service and responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work well with others and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

  • Professionalism: Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented demeanor that fosters strong working relationships.

  • Positive Work Environment: Commitment to building and maintaining a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace.

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Sequel Data Base is preferred.

  • Relevant work experience in a Shipping or Carrier Company is preferred.
