We are seeking an experienced Logistics Analyst to join our team. This position supports the Global Logistics Manager and the Logistics Team executing the transportation for our business around the world and to our customers.
The person in this role will report to the Director of Supply Chain and will be based out of our Rantoul, IL or Irvine, CA office.
As the Logistics Analyst, you will have an opportunity to participate in the following:

Work to provide the efficient flow of goods, inbound and outbound via ocean, air freight, parcel, less than truckload (LTL), and truckload carriers.

Support Customer Service with customer inquiries, shipment tracking and exception handling.

Manage all domestic freight transportation

Own and update shipping guides to vendors and carriers and monitors compliance, taking corrective action when necessary.

Work with distribution center management to ensure transportation operational efficiency.

Participate on scheduled requests for proposal (RFP’s) to carriers in all modes of transportation.

Participate in the negotiation of rates to ensure the best possible rates are received while maintaining first class service levels.

Provide post RFP analysis showing new costs compared to benchmark and submits for budgeting purposes.

Support Customer Service and Distribution managing processes that limit customer chargebacks.

Ensure that Bell Giro is compliant in the transportation of any materials classified as hazardous.

Work with the functionality of the Transportation Management System (TMS) used by Bell Giro. Recommends and helps implement TMS process changes to support the needs of our business.

Work on the auditing, processing and payment of transportation carrier invoices.

Participate in projects supporting the business by providing transportation analysis, offering options and tracking results

Identify opportunities to reduce costs and/or improve service to our customers. Works with related parties to implement process changes and tracks results.

Evaluate and recommend new transportation carriers and processes.
You have:

College degree and/or a proven track record of progressive experience in a Logistics or Supply Chain role.

Strong analytical and data analysis skills.

Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within deadlines.

Experience using Transportation Management software a plus

Experience using SAP a plus
-
Hazmat certification is a plus
Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $66,000.00 - $76,000.00
The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
