As a Logistics Pricing Analyst (Logistics 3PL Procurement Pricing Analyst), you will be instrumental in optimizing our warehousing and logistics costs by conducting strategic research, identifying, and negotiating with potential suppliers of warehousing equipment, services, real estate agencies, and spaces. Your expertise in sourcing will ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of solutions that precisely meet our warehousing needs, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research:
    • Conduct in-depth research on the warehousing and labor market, including trends, suppliers, pricing structures, and emerging technologies.
  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation:
    • Proactively identify, qualify, and assess 3PLs and potential suppliers for warehousing equipment, supplies, and suitable warehouse spaces.
  • RFQ Data Analysis:
    • Develop and manage detailed Requests for Proposals (RFPs) or Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to obtain proposals from potential suppliers.
    • Obtain quotes from different suppliers to compare pricing and terms.
    • Evaluate suppliers’ quotes and compile a detailed assessment of cost element breakdowns.
    • Maintain quote comparison with financial simulation and provide data for vendor selection.
    • Negotiate pricing, quantity, terms, and conditions with vendors and 3PLs to secure favorable agreements.
  • Collaboration and Strategy:
    • Work with the legal team to ensure all conditions regarding the business are met in contracts.
    • Consult with the sales team to provide recommendations/solutions to improve potential customers’ logistics practices.
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize pricing and achieve cost savings targets.
  • Procurement System Administration:
    • Administer the company’s internal procurement system during the sourcing process.
    • Implement business opportunities within the company to identify potential procurement opportunities.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery.
  • Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
    • Track 3PL and supplier performance, ensuring adherence to contract terms, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehousing processes, identifying efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Travel %: up to 30 % of Travel required

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Logistics Analyst or a similar role, demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities and accomplishments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel, with the ability to manipulate large datasets and create complex reports.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights to improve logistics operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable working with tables, charts, and numbers to present findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to work additional hours outside of regularly scheduled business hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
