The Logistics Analyst is a critical, high visibility role within Shorr’s rapidly growing organization. This position is responsible for collaborating with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Product Vendors and Freight Carriers in supporting all aspects of the Supply Chain. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: Coordination of outbound 3PL, inbound vendor and drop ship shipments, ensuring timely deliveries to meet our customer’s requirements. Must develop a strong understanding of the day-to-day tactical operational activities from management of shipments, order receipt, carrier selection to final delivery. This position will also identify opportunities for service and cost improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates communication between Operations, Sales, Vendors and Customer Service to promote a healthy and efficient supply chain.
  • Responsible for optimizing carriers to obtain required service levels at the most competitive price.
  • Manage the execution of entire shipment and transportation life cycle from order receipt and carrier tender through final delivery to customer.
  • Perform daily shipment tracking for strategic customer deliveries to ensure customer expectations are being fulfilled.
  • Monitor carrier service KPI’s and conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions when metrics fall below established thresholds.
  • Identify and partner with Corporate Logistics Manager on cost savings and operational improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
  • Manage freight invoice exceptions.
  • Ability to utilize the Transportation Management System to quote and route shipments in a cost effective and efficient manner.
  • Communicate and resolve service issues quickly and efficiently.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, or similar degree or equivalent transportation planning, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain experience
  • Distribution and warehouse operations experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of OTR, LTL, and Parcel shipment modes of transport and their operations required
  • Experience with TMS systems as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly required
  • Experience in outsourced Managed Transportation Programs
  • International logistics experience preferred
  • The position requires strong analytical, interpersonal, and project management skills, along with being a strong team player
  • Ability to move from task to task in a very fast-paced environment
  • Must be well organized, capable of handling a variety of issues and assignments
  • Firm grasp of logistics, supply chain, inventory, distribution, transportation, business, and management principles
  • Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong MS Office skills with an emphasis on intermediate Excel skills, and the ability to interpret reports.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $70,000 – $80,000 per year.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a similar field, or equivalent transportation planning, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain experience
