TEAM OVERVIEW AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Logistic specialist to join an experienced and enthusiastic team, dedicated to find the most efficient solution for the distribution of our cables.
The Logistic specialist will report to the Logistics Director of the BU Transmission and the role has the aim to prepare the package of the bids that the BU is participating, which involves the logistics costs and documentation related to the proposed solution, as well as to coordinate the execution of the projects in the portfolio. The Logistic specialist will be the person of reference in the team for all submarine bids and projects, and will interface with Sales and Bid Management teams, System Engineering, Purchasing, Planning and Installation teams, as well as with our stakeholders, in order to ensure preparation of the offers in due time or the subcontracting of a service.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a professional with short experience in Submarine Cable Projects, dedicated, passionate about making goods to be delivered with efficiency and perfection.
The person in this role will be responsible for (not limited to):
- The submission of Logistics package during the bidding phase, coordinating services from different contractors
- Preparing the Logistics costs related to the proposed solution at offer stage
- Preparing the Logistics Concepts and other documentation required by the tender
- Supporting the preparation of risk assessment
- Aligning with engineering, installation and commercial team on specific project delivery requirements, as per client ITT
- Planning and coordinating the transport of cable and ancillaries ensuring on time delivery to site or intermediate storage areas
- Preparing the request of quotations for the subcontracting of logistic services required by the projects in execution and evaluating the offers from the technical perspective
- Developing the most efficient and sustainable solution for the packaging, storage and transport of cables
- Collecting the best practices of previous projects and considering the preparation of the bids, as well as its application to the projects in execution
- Supporting with continuous improvement on the Logistics flows, packaging design and internal processes
- Implementing the necessary Quality and HSE requirements to the Logistics activities
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Education background: Bachelor/Master in Operations - Supply Chain, Industrial Eng., Mechanical Eng.
- Experience of 2-5 years in Supply Chain / Projects Logistics / Installation Eng.
- Fluent Italian and English
- Experience in multi-cultural environment with several interfaces
- Willingness to travel to site
- Proactivity and strong interest in the industry in which it operates
- Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft project
