Logistics Coordinator
Temporary (12-months parental leave cover)
Avantor is looking for a hands-on and dedicated Logistics Coordinator (Chemical Stores), to join our team based in Mölndal, Sweden. In this position, you’ll be responsible for receiving and unpacking chemicals, then distributing them to laboratories so our scientists can progress with their activities.
You’ll be based in the laboratory and logistics area, staying active throughout your day, this is not an office-based role.
This role will be a full-time, permanent position based in Mölndal, Sweden, known for its cutting-edge laboratories and production facilities focused on drug development and commercial-scale pharmaceutical production. Working hours: Monday to Friday, core hours
The Team
You’ll join a small team of three associates responsible for handling incoming chemicals and delivering them to the laboratories where scientists need them to advance their scientific research. You’ll be part of our Lab and Production Services department, where we support major pharmaceutical companies and laboratories globally within the Research and Development sector of the Life Sciences industry.
What we’re looking for
Experience working in a warehouse, stores, or logistics environment with chemicals, along with familiarity with goods-in, goods-out processes, is highly desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Excellent communication skills in English (fluent) and Swedish (at least intermediate level)
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Teams, Outlook), and experience with computer systems for tracking deliveries and details
Outstanding attention to detail
How you’ll create an impact
Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring the package includes what was ordered and accurately logging all deliveries in the computer system.
Distribute chemicals to the correct laboratories and ensure they are stored in the appropriate locations.
Register all activities related to chemical handling in the computer system, ensuring everything is traceable.
Manage and refill the chemical point of use.
Maintain inventory levels of chemicals on-site by counting stock and checking expiration dates
