We are seeking security minded Linux & Windows Systems Administrator to perform system design, build, integration, test, and maintain cyber systems. Duties include installing application software and system patches, ensuring anti-virus and vulnerability scanner updates, and optimizing performance and reliability. Systems will be built and maintained to the NIST SP 800-53 standard. Successful candidates are teamed with the Information Assurance organization to support multiple programs performing a wide range of engineering disciplines.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, build, integrate, harden, deploy, and maintain bare metal and virtual clients, servers, and networked systems.
- Develop solutions to perform complex tasks that impact multiple IT disciplines.
- Effectively use hardening, scanning, and log collection tools such as Ansible, Nessus, and SCAP, and Splunk.
- Perform system analysis for purposes of performance optimization, catastrophe mitigation, and security compliance.
- Collaborate with software developers to ensure systems meet functional requirements.
- Support IT security activities to include security compliance reviews and auditing requirements.
- Perform software configuration management using software development repositories.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience administering Windows, Linux, Networking/Switch, and Virtualized Machines
- Possess or ability to obtain a security+ 8570 certification with 6 months employment.
- Bachelor of Science in Technical field and at least 8 years of relevant work experience, or a master’s with 6-10 years of experience.; additional years’ of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active DoD SECRET clearance. (U.S. citizenship is required)
- Experience implementing NIST SP 800-53 controls families on both Linux and Windows
- Experience with core infrastructure services administration such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and File Server administration.
- Experienced in deploying Operating System images in a variety of mediums (PXE-network, disk image, automated installation media with answer scripts).
- Ability to create simple Linux and PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Perform research necessary to resolve complex technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced in building and deploying DevSecOps systems.
- Experienced in deploying Multifactorial Authentication Systems.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
