All work will be performed at our customer’s site on Wright Paterson Airforce Base, OH.
A Secret Clearance is required to begin work on the program.
So, what will you be doing in this role?
- Provides for RedHat Linux systems administration, performance tuning, client security administration, systems software support, and technology assessments in support of a multi-platform UNIX environment.
- Performs systems enhancement, configuration, maintenance, installation, interfaces, coordination, and software installations and upgrades to UNIX operating systems and layered software packages.
- Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum level of performance in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements.
- Performs acceptance testing of modules, subsystems, and total systems. Will be responsible to perform software installation and configuration.
- Monitoring log files, performance issues, and the production environment for mission critical systems
- Demonstrating ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
These are the required qualifications
- Must hold an active in scope SECRET clearance or have the ability to obtain Interim SECRET eligibility prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
- Must hold a bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of equivalent experience, or a master’s degree and 2 years of experience.
- Must hold current DOD 8570 IAT II certification (Linux+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) prior to start.
- Communicates effectively both orally and in a written form with users and office staff
- Experience and proficiency with the LAMP web server stack
These are the preferred qualifications
- Ansible or equivalent configuration management experience
- Hands-on experience patching systems and applications within a DoD environment
- Experience managing containerized services within Kubernetes
- Ability to write, diagnose, and optimize scripts written in bash, python, or perl
- Familiarity managing virtual systems within VMware
