About This Position:

INflow Federal is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support our Navy program. NNSY’s mission is to safely return warships to the Fleet on time and within budget. The Systems Administrator will support the administration, maintenance, and operation of enterprise IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant system operations in support of shipyard and Fleet readiness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux operating systems in classified and unclassified environments.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, hardening, and vulnerability remediation in accordance with DISA STIGs.
  • Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts; troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and system permissions.
  • Support backups, disaster recovery, and system restoration activities.
  • Provide Tier II/III support and participate in after-hours or surge operations as required.
  • Maintain system documentation and support change management processes.
  • Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to support operational requirements.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience supporting secure networks and mission-critical systems.
  • Experience applying DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity policies to Unix/Linux systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience providing Tier II/III system support.
  • Familiarity with network services, system monitoring tools, and enterprise backup solutions.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline
  • Seven (7) years of experience administering Unix/Linux systems in enterprise or DoD environments.

Clearance Requirements

  • DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
