As a LINUX Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support for Linux-based systems and applications. Your role will involve troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues reported by users, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
How you will do it
- Provide level 1 and level 2 support for Linux environments, including user account management and system configuration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Linux operating systems and applications.
- Maintain and monitor system performance, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve system-related problems.
- Document and track support requests in the ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of Linux operating systems and related software.
- Participate in training and mentoring users on Linux best practices.
What we look for
Required
- 0-1 year of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Experience with ticketing systems and user support processes.
