Leidos is seeking a Linux Administrator to join our Defense Enclave Services (DES) team at Ft. Meade, MD
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. Your role is critical to the overall operational and end User Experience (UX) as automation capabilities impacts each user across the global enterprise.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:
Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Base OS Linux Admin experience would be good (Storage and Networking Fundamentals)
Experience with RedHat Satellite Servers
Experience building custom packages for RHEL/CentOS using RPM
Ansible experience
VMWare operations
Integration with AD and Linux
Install, configure, and maintain servers in a Linux environment
Monitor the health of the Linux servers through both automated and manual processes
Perform server hardware maintenance and security upgrades
Maintain documentation for procedures, configurations, and programs
Forecast backend infrastructure needs resulting from the migration of over 20 agencies into a single architecture
Design solutions, integrate, configure, test and deploy numerous types server-based applications based on Linux, and VMware operating systems.
Conduct data captures to obtain computing performance and system configuration information.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience; additional years of directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Proficiency with enterprise-class server-based services such as: directory services, collaboration tools, monitoring tools, virtual infrastructure, and Linux.
DoD IAT Level II (Security+ ) certification or equivalent is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
Strong working knowledge of Unix system fundamentals and common network protocols
Experience managing Linux/UNIX operating systems in a heterogeneous environment.
Solid understanding of networked computing environment concepts

Pay Range:Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
