Position Summary
Manages nationwide routing and dispatch operations for drivers. Supervises and ensures shipments are delivered efficiently and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
- Optimizes nationwide driver and equipment allocation for efficient customer demand fulfillment.
- Manages timely delivery of guaranteed freight as per contractual agreements.
- Equips drivers with essential information and equipment details for efficient task execution.
- Develops a professional rapport with their assigned drivers.
- Monitors road conditions and adjusts driver routes to avoid delays and inclement weather.
- Records all line haul movements into AS400 efficiently and effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- 2+ years of transportation and/or dispatch experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AS400.
