About the role
As our first Lifecycle Marketing hire, you’ll work cross-functionally across Marketing, Sales, Product, and Data Science. You’ll focus on building the foundation and implementing the key tools fueling our lifecycle marketing efforts as we continue to scale quickly. A strong hire for this role will be excited to get their hands dirty across many projects. You’ll work on the tactical needs, while also building out a strategic framework of what we are striving for as a future state.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Map out customer journey, and identify key touch points and opportunities across the various channels of customer engagement including email, product, and sales touches
- Develop a strategy to increase onboarding, activation, retention, engagement, upsell, and overall customer lifetime value
- Design, execute, and continuously optimize multi-channel campaigns across email and in-app to support your strategy and hit ambitious KPIs
- In partnership with Data Science create segmentation models, identify and analyze key trends and behaviors
- Lead the selection, implementation, and on-going configuration of best in class marketing tools to further support Lifecycle efforts
- Strive to deeply understand the user in order to always deliver the right content at the right time
- Collaborate closely with the Sales team to track the effectiveness of lifecycle marketing efforts on sales pipeline, lead conversion, and revenue growt
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excitement to build out a lifecycle marketing strategy and team from scratch, to deliver on key business goals
- 6+ years of experience with a lifecycle marketing and customer engagement software (Marketo, Hubspot, Customer.io, etc.) with hands-on experience driving strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of these systems
- Experience with product-led growth (PLG) and product-led sales (PLS) go-to-market motions in B2B SaaS
- Experience or strong interest in engaging with technical audiences, including data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, and software engineers.
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of utilizing Salesforce as primary CRM
- Cross-functional team player with a history of partnering directly with sales, marketing, product, design, engineering, and data science teams
- Deep knowledge in audience segmentation, campaign development, list management and email marketing strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to identify action steps to drive key customer KPIs. Bonus if the candidate has experience with Hex, Amplitude/Mixpanel, Segment/Rudderstack, and cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake/Bigquery/Redshift

The salary range for this role is: $140,000 - $170,000
The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience. Our Recruiting team will be able to provide more details during the interview process.
