About your role

Infosys Consulting is seeking business minded SAP consultants with strong Life Sciences industry and functional expertise to form a team of senior advisors focused on our growing the Life Sciences practice.

As a Life Sciences SAP Functional Transformation Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to pharmaceutical and medical device clients undergoing business and digital transformation. Leveraging your expertise in a specific functional domain, you will help Life Science clients define future-state operating models, shape solution strategies, support business development and proposals, and guide SAP-enabled transformation programs.

You will play a critical role in growing our Life Sciences consulting business by bringing industry credibility, Life science-specific functional expertise, and practical implementation experience to client engagements, RFP responses, and transformation initiatives.

Candidates should possess deep expertise in one functional area while maintaining a strong understanding of the broader pharmaceutical value chain and regulatory landscape.

RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                                        

Industry and Transformation Leadership

·       Act as a subject matter expert for Life Sciences business processes and SAP-enabled transformation initiatives.

·       Advise pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients on best practices, industry trends, and future-state operating models.

·       Represent Life Sciences industry perspectives during transformation assessments, solution design, and program delivery.

·       Support business development activities, proposal responses, client workshops, and RFPs within your functional domain.

SAP Solution Advisory

·       Translate business requirements into SAP-enabled solutions aligned with Life Science industry standards and regulatory requirements.

·       Lead functional solution design and provide guidance across implementation and transformation programs leveraging industry best practices.

·       Collaborate with enterprise architects, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes.

·       Contribute to thought leadership, capability development, and reusable industry assets.


FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIZATIONS

Candidates should possess deep expertise in one of the following domains:

Finance Transformation (SAP FI/CO)

·       Experience supporting S/4HANA Finance transformations.

·       Knowledge of record-to-report standardization, group reporting, profitability analysis, and finance process automation.

·       Familiarity with Life Sciences-specific challenges related to product costing, transfer pricing, and global regulatory reporting.

Commercial Transformation (SAP SD)

·       Experience supporting pharmaceutical order-to-cash processes and commercial operations.

·       Understanding of customer engagement in pharmaceutical context, pricing, contract management, rebates, and channel management.

·       Familiarity with integration across CRM, omnichannel, and commercial analytics platforms.

Logistics and Supply Chain (SAP MM/EWM/TM)

·       Experience supporting resilient pharmaceutical supply chains and global distribution networks.

·       Knowledge of inventory optimization, cold-chain requirements, serialization impacts, and supply continuity initiatives.

·       Understanding of warehouse automation and end-to-end supply chain visibility.

Quality Transformation (SAP QM)

·       Experience supporting quality management within regulated GxP environments.

·       Familiarity with deviation management, CAPA, complaints handling, inspection processes, and validation requirements.

·       Understanding of integration between quality, manufacturing, and regulatory processes.

Manufacturing Transformation (SAP PP/MES Integration)

·       Experience supporting life sciences manufacturing operations.

·       Knowledge of batch manufacturing, electronic batch records, process standardization, and digital manufacturing initiatives.

·       Familiarity with MES integration and Industry 4.0 concepts within regulated environments.

Data Transformation (SAP MDG/Data Management)

·       Experience defining and implementing master data governance and migration strategies.

·       Knowledge of product, customer, patient, supplier, and material data management.

·       Familiarity with data quality, governance, stewardship, and AI-enabled data management capabilities.

Solution Architecture (SAP Enterprise Architect)

·       Experience designing end-to-end SAP-enabled business solutions in a Life Science IT landscape

·       Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA, integration strategies, cloud architectures, and domain-driven design.

·       Ability to connect business outcomes with enterprise architecture decisions and transformation roadmaps.

Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP)

·       Experience supporting demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and sales and operations planning.

·       Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain complexity, launch planning, and external manufacturing networks.

·       Familiarity with advanced planning analytics and AI-supported forecasting capabilities.


 BASIC QUALIFICATIONS                                                                            

Demonstrates proven success in roles and thorough abilities in most of the following areas:

·       Strong understanding of pharmaceutical or medical device business processes and operating models.

·       Proven experience supporting SAP-enabled transformation programs within Life Sciences organizations.

·       Ability to engage business and IT stakeholders and translate strategic objectives into practical solutions.

·       Experience contributing to RFP responses, solution proposals, business cases, or transformation roadmaps.

·       Deep expertise in one SAP functional domain.

·       5+ years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience within Life Sciences and SAP transformation programs.

·       Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

·       Ability to travel as required.
