Bring your SonarQube expertise to a focused technical review for a leading Belgian insurance client.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced SonarQube Expert to provide specialist services on a short-term client engagement within the insurance sector. You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive review of an in-house-built tool, assessing its SonarQube implementation, code-quality controls and associated processes.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct a comprehensive SonarQube review of the client's in-house-built tool and its current configuration.
- Assess code-quality rules, quality gates, security findings, technical debt and associated development controls.
- Identify gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement, translating findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Work with relevant client stakeholders to understand the existing implementation and communicate review findings effectively.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven hands-on expertise with SonarQube, including configuration, quality profiles, quality gates and code-analysis capabilities.
- Experience reviewing SonarQube implementations and assessing code quality, maintainability, vulnerabilities and technical debt.
- Ability to independently conduct a focused technical assessment and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Experience working with engineering stakeholders in complex technology environments.
- Experience delivering SonarQube assessments within financial services or insurance.
Bonus Points For
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating SonarQube into modern software delivery workflows.
- Experience reviewing bespoke or internally developed enterprise applications.
- Understanding of secure software development practices and code-quality governance.
- Experience using AI-enabled engineering workflows to support code analysis, technical reviews or developer productivity.
