On this occasion, we offer a permanent contract of Life Pricing Actuary in the Product Development Management area. We provide you with the following information:

What is the purpose of the position?

The main purpose of this position is to give support to the Product Development team in defining and developing the Life Protection products strategy to achieve growth and the profit objectives of the company.

In this role, you will manage the pricing activities of the Life Risk products and take an active part in building the new products proposals and guiding the performance of the portfolios to enable NN Spain to meet long-term profit targets.

What are the tasks that you’ll perform?

Qualified Life Actuary

  • In collaboration with the Product Team develop the Protection products strategy to achieve growth and the profit objectives of the company.

  • Participate in the product definitions collaborating with other functional departments and liaising with external parties (if necessary)

  • Ensure efficiencies in downstream implementation collaborating closely with Product Owner in an Agile organization

  • Elaborate the Pricing of new products, review and re-pricing of products in the portfolio:

  • Derivation of the actuarial assumptions

  • Development of the pricing model

  • Assuring competitive offer compared with the market prices

  • Documenting the pricing process and collaborate with the second line departments ( Actuarial & Risk), assuring the properly governance of the products.

  • Understand market developments and ensure that trends are contextualized and reflected in our pricing activities.

  • Provide analytical skills to monitor the performance of existing products and lead the creation of business cases for the development of changes to existing products.

  • Provide expert insights regarding profitability, retention, and growth strategies in collaboration with underwriting, claims, commercial, actuarial, data analytics, customer, and digital experience dpts.

  • Ensure that Protection products meet the NN group´s key performance indicators and contribute positively to the solvency position of the company

What are we looking for?

- Bachelor´s Degree in Actuarial Science or Business Management.

- Solid experience (5-10 years) in insurance company, with good knowledge of insurance products and its related pricing activities.

- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including strong computer and programming skills: Excel, SQL, VBA, R or Python (another programming language desirable)

- Ability to build strong working relationships with peers, management, and the business areas

- Business and Client oriented, experienced in discussing technical information to a non-technical audience

- Fluency in English (writing and communication)

- Also valuable:

  • Experience in Life Savings Business
  • Experience with projection tools such as Prophet or AFM
