What You'll DoAs our Life Enrichment Director, you'll oversee a dynamic activities program designed to support each resident's physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. Every day brings something new—from holiday celebrations and live entertainment to community outings, wellness programs, crafts, games, volunteer events, and one-on-one visits.
You'll have the opportunity to:

Design and lead an engaging monthly calendar of activities that residents look forward to.

Create individualized activity experiences based on each resident's interests, abilities, and life history.

Inspire and supervise a dedicated Life Enrichment team.

Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, volunteers, schools, churches, entertainers, and community organizations.

Coordinate special events, celebrations, fundraisers, and holiday festivities.

Develop and grow an active volunteer program.

Maintain activity documentation and participate in resident care planning.

Manage department supplies and budget while keeping programs fresh, creative, and exciting.

Help showcase the amazing moments happening throughout the facility through newsletters and social media.

Foster a fun, welcoming environment where every resident feels valued and included.

Has a positive attitude and genuinely enjoys working with older adults.

Is creative, energetic, and loves planning events.

Is organized and able to manage multiple projects.

Enjoys leading and motivating a team.

Builds strong relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and the community.

Has excellent communication and organizational skills.

Can work independently while bringing fresh ideas to the department.

Is flexible to occasionally work evenings, weekends, or holidays for special events.
Applicants must meet the qualifications required under federal and state regulations for an Activities/Life Enrichment Director, including one of the following:

Licensed or registered Activities Professional or Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (where applicable)

Eligible for certification through a recognized accrediting organization
-
Minimum of two years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five years, including at least one year full-time in a therapeutic activities program

Qualified Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant

Completion of a state-approved activities training course
A high school diploma or GED is required.

Skills Required
