Job Summary
Our internship program is designed to provide students with exposure into our reinsurance business, and to develop skills to promote personal and professional development. This internship in the Actuarial Department will give you the opportunity to be involved in various areas in reinsurance valuation and internal projects.
•In this exciting and fast-paced role, you will be working across APAC (including China, North Asia, South Asia & ANZ) writing business in c.30 countries and 13 legal entities in the region
•Supporting the APAC Actuarial team in the management of all divisional reserving activities for Life business
•With a focus on IFRS17, Solvency II, local statutory/solvency reporting, and experience analysis
ResponsibilitiesKey duties and responsibilities
The Life Actuarial Intern will support the team in the following tasks:
•Support in the continuous improvement of actuarial reporting processes, analyses and controls across the macromarkets
•Assist in the preparation of assigned reports
•Any other ad-hoc project
QualificationsRequired experience & competencies
Experience:
- No prior actuarial work experience required.
Skills and Personal Competences:
- Effective verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Experience in programming is a plus
- Keen interest to understand and build on actuarial models
- Excellent team player
- Ability to speak and read Korean will be a bonus
Duration :
-Immediate for 3-6 months
Required Education
Pursuing bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or related field with a strong quantitative orientation.
