The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide relevant credit updates and insight to trading, sales and investor clients on “household names” where MUFG is a significant lender and/or underwriter.
  • Work closely and proactively with traders to manage desk risk, optimize positioning, and generate P&L.  Develop and market ideas.  
  • Use industry expertise along with credit insight and relative value to provide trade recommendations to investor clients.
  • Understand valuations across capital structures and use DCF models, covenant analysis and relative value to drive credit views.
  • Work with Leveraged Finance Capital Markets desk to educate investors and sales forces on new issues, roadshows and other investor interaction.
  • Work with Leveraged Finance Banking to provide valuable industry, market and client insight to issuers on pitches in the attempt to garner underwriting mandates.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ plus years of experience as a High Yield Desk Analyst on a trading desk.  VP or Director level.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master's degree in finance, Business Administration, and Economics
  • CFA preferred
  • Knowledge in and experience covering credits in the TMT sector.
  • Experience covering high yield and leveraged finance transactions.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $200K - $300K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
