We’re currently looking for an outgoing, dependable, and service-focused Lending Generalist. Role Overview:
Deliver exceptional service and support to existing and new members, dealership partners, third party vendors, and other credit union personnel. Primary responsibility for all data entry and clerical work for the departments supported. Will serve as support for Real Estate, Indirect, and Titles/CPI responsibilities for departments due to high volume or employee absence. Will comply with all federal and state regulations such as the Fair Lending Act, Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Privacy Act, Regulation CC, etc., as well as all Credit Union policies and procedures.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- 35% Real Estate- Perform accurate data entry into mortgage software and core system. Originate mortgage loans as needed to provide coverage for Real Estate Originator. Assist with mortgage processing and servicing tasks during peak periods or staff absences. Review post-closing mortgage files to ensure completeness and accuracy. Manage new loan application intake and verify accuracy of loan documentation.
- 25% Titles/CPI- Assist with title processing for new loans and paid off loans. Prepare and submit required filings to local and state government agencies. Support CPI (Collateral Protection Insurance) claim processing and documentation.
- 20% Assist and serve as back up for Real Estate, Indirect Lending, and Titles/CPI. Perform various tasks as assigned by the Lending Manager to support overall department operations.
- 15% Indirect- Assist with Indirect loan review and processing. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and required documentation for all Indirect loan files and collect required documentation.
- 5% All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- One to three years of similar or related experience preferred
- Previous banking or credit union experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass a background check and a drug screen
- Candidate must successfully pass an employment credit check. Any current delinquencies or bankruptcies still showing on the credit report may result in failure of the check. The review may include, but is not limited to, past due items, late payments, unpaid charge-offs, collections (non-medical), judgments, bankruptcies, repossessions, and foreclosures.
